Multibandpass filter
MidOpt's dual- and triple-bandpass filters are primarily used in security and surveillance technology, intelligent traffic solutions, and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) imaging. They allow visible light and specific regions of the visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) spectra to pass through.
This is ideal for color cameras that use sunlight during the day and NIR illumination at night. In agricultural inspection using drones, these filters enable imaging with a single sensor, which significantly reduces the payload weight. NDVI data, which was previously available only via satellite, can now be captured directly on-site using compact camera systems.
Mounting Options and Sizes
The multibandpass filters are available from stock in the following versions:
- Threaded sockets: Standard sizes from M13.25 to M82.
- C-Mount: Available in 25.4® for compatible camera mounts.
- Slip Mounts & Unmounted: For flexible integration.
- Special installation: Upon request, the filters can be cemented behind an M12 lens.
- Custom solutions: Custom shapes and sizes are available upon request.

DB Series – Dual Bandpass
These filters combine two passband ranges to ensure accurate color reproduction during the day and high sensitivity at night.

This series transmits three specific wavelength ranges and is often used for specialized multispectral analyses.
