Forge Guard is a security technology developed by Fujifilm to combat counterfeiting and product piracy.
How Forge Guard works
The functionality of Forge Guard is based on full-color images or texts or unique serial or random numbers which are implemented in an individual label. Authenticity is verified using a special viewer that is held over the label. Verification can be carried out without restriction, anywhere and by anyone, as no technical skills, language skills or additional investment are required.
Security from Forge Guard
The Forge Guard label is produced in a factory in Japan using specially developed synthesized chemicals, our own processing equipment and under the strictest controls. The wide range of colors, shades and high-resolution designs make counterfeiting virtually impossible. The hologram, on the other hand, which is widely used as an anti-counterfeiting tool, offers significantly less protection against plagiarism.
Combating parallel trade
Forge Guard can also be used to combat parallel imports and exports: The images and texts integrated into the label allow for both color and design variations, making it possible to track the individual products - even any serial numbers.
