How fiber laser technology works
Fiber lasers are a precise and efficient technology for permanent markings on a wide variety of materials. The beam source of a fiber laser generates high-energy light, which is passed through a glass fiber medium before emerging as an extremely fine laser beam. This beam can heat materials such as metal, plastic and foils with pinpoint accuracy, creating permanent codes, text or graphics.
A key advantage of fiber laser technology is its precision: even the smallest markings, such as 2D data matrix codes, are applied with pin-sharp accuracy. In addition, the laser beam is so fine and concentrated that it is gentle on the surrounding materials and does not exert any mechanical forces on the substrate. Fiber lasers are known for their speed and durability and are used in particular where high demands are placed on precision, robustness and freedom from maintenance.
Thanks to their versatility, fiber lasers are ideal for industrial production, especially in the electronics, automotive and packaging sectors. Their non-contact operation ensures high marking quality, even on uneven or difficult surfaces, making them the preferred choice for demanding applications.
Clean production environment with DPX extraction systems
Laser marking produces fine particles and vapors - a natural part of the process. The DPX extraction systems from Domino are specially designed to remove these emissions safely and efficiently. They not only protect the production environment, but also the laser systems themselves.
Various models are available depending on the application - from compact solutions for standard markings to high-performance systems for demanding materials such as PVC or aluminum. All DPX systems impress with their simple operation, automatic flow control and intelligent status displays for smooth operation.
