Machine vision lighting
The foundation for precise image processing
In industrial image processing, image quality depends not only on the camera but also on the lighting. Optimal lighting highlights relevant features and minimizes distractions. Only then can algorithms operate reliably, quickly, and without errors.
We offer a comprehensive range of LED lighting solutions that are precisely tailored to the physical requirements of your test specimens.

From standard ring lights to highly specialized dark-field systems: The design determines which details the camera captures. We have structured our product portfolio so that you can quickly find the best technical solution for any component geometry and material properties. We would be happy to advise you to ensure that the lighting solution you choose is precisely tailored to your specific requirements and production environment.

Bar lights
These versatile, flexible fixtures provide even illumination across surfaces and can be mounted at any angle to create targeted contrasts or cast shadows.

Ring lights
The camera looks directly at the object through the central opening. This provides a very compact, shadow-free front light directly at the lens—ideal for standard inspections.

Linear lights
High-intensity light bars designed specifically for line-scan camera applications. They provide the necessary brightness for sharp images, even at extreme belt speeds.

Backlight
Placing the sensor behind the object being tested creates sharp silhouettes. This is the best solution for precise contour measurements and level checks without surface reflections.

Dome and Flatdome Lights
These "Cloudy Day" systems produce extremely diffuse light. They eliminate distracting glare spots (hotspots) on curved or reflective surfaces such as metal or film.

Spot lighting
High-performance spotlights for very small inspection areas. They provide precise lighting and can be integrated into the machine even in extremely confined spaces.

Dark-field illuminators
The light strikes the object at an extremely shallow angle. Only features such as scratches, dust, or edges refract the light toward the camera and appear as a bright contrast against a black background.

Coaxial lighting
Reflects light exactly parallel to the camera axis. This allows for shadow-free illumination of reflective, flat surfaces as well as a clear view into deep dead-end holes.
Contrast optimization through the right color spectrum
White light: The universal standard for color detection and general sorting tasks in industrial image processing.
Red & Infrared (IR): The most efficient solution for maximum contrast with monochrome cameras. IR light also penetrates films and organic materials, effectively eliminating distracting prints.
Blue: Due to its shorter wavelength, blue light provides greater image sharpness and makes even the smallest structures on metals or plastics clearly visible.
Green: Used for precise contrast control with colored objects and is frequently employed for specialized inspection tasks in industry.
Ultraviolet (UV): This special lighting induces fluorescence, making security features, transparent adhesives, or invisible markings detectable by the camera.
SWIR (Shortwave IR): Our high-end solution for "chemical vision." Ideal for checking fill levels through opaque plastic walls or for precise material separation during recycling.

Industrial-grade standards for 24/7 operation
Robust protection ratings: Our lighting fixtures are built to withstand harsh production conditions. We offer enclosures ranging from IP54 (dust-protected) for standard applications to IP67 (water- and dust-tight) for use in the food or pharmaceutical industries. These “washdown” models can withstand even intensive cleaning cycles and ensure maximum reliability for your system.
Precise Triggering & Flash Operation: For high-speed processes, our LED systems can be precisely synchronized with the camera. Using external LED controllers, you can utilize Overdrive mode to achieve maximum brightness even at the shortest exposure times. This eliminates motion blur while also protecting the hardware by reducing thermal stress during continuous operation.
Portfolio and Technical Availability
Our product range covers the entire spectrum of industrial image processing—from components from market-leading manufacturers such as Basler highly specialized lighting solutions from companies like Smart Vision Lights for niche applications. Since optimal image quality depends on technical parameters such as wavelength, beam angle, and housing geometry, we assist you in selecting the right hardware for your specific needs:
- High stock availability: We keep a wide range of standard components and wavelengths in stock to ensure short project lead times.
- Application-specific selection: We identify the appropriate hardware based on your physical requirements and the installation space constraints of your system.
- Technical Consultation: A brief description of your optical challenge is all we need to provide you with a well-informed component recommendation and a prompt quote.
