The XS series stands for long-term Highspeed recordings via PCIe. This connection enables very high frame rates at a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The camera is operated via a computer, on which the recording is also saved. The areas of application range from industrial applications to traffic control.
The IDT X-Stream 1440p PCIe 3.0 offers continuous frame streaming with a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface, which achieves a sustained transfer speed of 3.87 GB/sec. This is significantly faster than the PCIe 2.0 camera. This flexible design is implemented around IDT's global shutter CMOS sensor and delivers up to 670 fps at full resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). Advanced features include frame-to-frame auto-exposure, motion trigger and double exposure for PIV users. The specially tuned Motion Monitor application controls the camera in Windows, Linux or Mac OS® X environments with features such as continuous operation, record on save and on-demand playback from disk.
