If you want to use industrial cameras at ambient temperatures of more than 45°C, external cooling is generally required.
The Turtle protective enclosures from autoVimation can be used in such temperatures. The enclosures have their own Peltier air conditioning, which can even be powered by photovoltaics. For this reason, these housings have been used very successfully in hot desert regions for years.
The housing keeps the cameras within the specified temperature range even at up to 70°C and 1kW/m² solar radiation.
The air conditioning can also be used for heating by reversing the voltage. Heating and cooling is fully automatic when certain thresholds are set. As the camera temperature is permanently monitored, the camera can be switched off automatically in the event of a fault.
