The FUJIFILM lens range has been expanded with the HF-XA-1F series. The new FUJINON lens series is the "heavy-duty" version of the successful HF-XA-5M series. The series has been developed for use in applications that require high shock and vibration resistance. The HF-XA-1F series covers sensor sizes from 2/3" to 1/1.2" and image resolutions up to 5 megapixels at 3.45µm pixel size . The new lens series adopts the optical design of the HF-XA-5M series and offers the same performance. The new mechanical design, specially developed for the best resistance to shocks and vibrations, can withstand almost anything and allows only minimal optical displacements with shocks of 10G.

Minimal optical displacement after 10G shocks
The optical properties of the modern series are identical to those of the HF-XA-5M series with 8mm to 35mm focal length - for example the high resolution right up to the edges or the low distortion. The minimum object distance (from 100mm) is incomparably low and the quality of the photos remains constant regardless of the object distance.
The key difference, however, lies in their shock resistance. The HF-XA-1F series is not only equipped with FUJIFILM's proven Anti Shock & Vibration technology, but goes one step further with a mechanical construction in which no optical components can move. This promises maximum stability and reliability - even under difficult operating conditions.

Focusing via C-mount
Focusing takes place via the special C-mount connection and its lock nut: the user screws the lens system into the camera connection and adjusts the focus via the screw-in depth. The focus position is then fixed with the lock nut. In this way, the entire lens system can be moved back and forth in relation to the image sensor without moving optical glass components during the lens movement.

Fixed aperture
The aperture of the HF-XA-1F models is also fixed according to the same principle, so that no moving elements can be adjusted by shocks or vibrations. Nevertheless, the user can adjust the aperture to his individual requirements by completely replacing the aperture ring. Three different aperture rings are included with each lens: F open, F4 and F8. They can be easily replaced and then screwed tight to withstand shocks.
FUJIFILM has subjected the innovative lenses to impact forces of up to 10 G in 6 directions and then measured the shift of the optical axis. The solutions are spectacular compared to standard lenses, with barely perceptible shifts in the micrometer range. -
Ideal for tough operating conditions
Due to their unique design, the FUJINON HF-XA-1F lenses are the first choice for image capture under difficult conditions or with moving systems - for example in 3D/stereoscopic applications or in robotics. The series consists of five models with focal lengths from 8 to 35 millimeters.
