WASP 4070 ZX

The professional WASP 3D printer for technical materials

The 4070 ZX 3D printer is a large-format printer developed for printing technical and robust materials, such as carbon fiber-reinforced PA (polyamide).

The WASP 4070 ZX is made of metal and has non-deformable steel core bands as well as thermal and acoustic insulation. The controlled active chamber temperature system of up to 70 °C enables optimum printing of technical thermoplastics while keeping the temperature of the mechanics relatively low.

The 4070 ZX is also equipped with new motor drivers that make the printer considerably quieter and more precise. These are used in combination with the new, more powerful stepper motors, which give it greater stability. The mechanics have also been renewed by introducing new carbon arms that halve the weight. In addition, a new laminated class 2B2 safety glass panel has been added to ensure better thermal stability in the print volume.

The WASP 4070 ZX can be integrated into a network and then controlled directly via a cell phone, tablet or computer. A camera has been installed inside the printer to monitor the printing process remotely.

Materials

PA CARBON has good mechanical and thermal properties and offers a flawless surface quality.

ABS has good heat and impact resistance and can be sanded and painted. You can bond parts together with acetone. The surface is matt.

HIPS is a material specially developed to support ABS and is soluble in limonene or by mechanical dissolution.

PMMA has low mechanical strength but good thermal resistance up to 90°C. The surface can be matt or translucent.
