CRON is the world's largest CtP system manufacturer in terms of unit numbers. There are over 30 installations in Switzerland alone, including some in very prominent print shops in the packaging sector.
Hoffmann Neopac AG in Thun has also been using a VLF CtP system from the Chinese manufacturer to expose printing plates for two years and prints metal sheets for the manufacture of its products on large-format sheet-fed offset presses.
CRON began developing CtP systems back in 1996 and has been continuously developing them ever since. The many technical innovations have also proven themselves in practice: "The systems run reliably and are very sophisticated," says Gerhard Wallner, Product Manager at Hoffmann Neopac. The devices are also cheaper than competitor products. When it comes to individual customer requirements, CRON is extremely flexible as a supplier and responds to the individual needs of its customers. "We didn't have space for a straight overall system. That's why we were offered an angled complete system without any additional effort." The system has proven itself. The company is currently even considering installing a second device as a backup CtP system.
"Another important factor for customer satisfaction with the CtP system is the regional and local service availability." Here Hoffmann Neopac feels that it is well served by service technician Thomas Früh and the additional support from the CHROMOS Group.
