Semi-automatic CtP systems

The CRON CtP G+ series comprises semi-automatic CtP platesetters and is the standard in plate imaging. The plates are exposed/imaged semi-automatically, i.e. the plates are fed in manually and ejected automatically.

As an option, a single cassette loader for 200 plates for 50×70 plates or a multi-cassette loader with 3 cassettes for up to 150 plates for different plate formats can be attached to the G+ series. A single cassette loader for 100 plates can also be connected to the CtP system for VLF plates.

CRON CtP G+ series Thermal/UV CTP

The G+ Series Thermal/UV is an updated and improved version of CRON's popular G model. It benefits from additional automation features, improved stability and increased flexibility to add plate loaders, punches and multi-directional transport bridges. High-resolution dot reproduction ensures superior imaging and less waste, while low maintenance makes the G+ series the most cost-effective CtP on the market.

The G+ series models are equipped with the latest generation of lasers and liquid cooling to ensure maximum reliability with fast throughput. The devices can be operated as manual loaders or in combination with an automatic plate loader with a capacity of up to 500 plates and offer a fast and convenient plate flow for most printing applications from 35×50 to VLF.

G+ Series models are compatible with all CRON plate loaders and bridges and can also be equipped with an optional integrated internal punch and an optional external punch provided by CRON's multidirectional bridge (BGP), allowing for straight or L-shaped system configurations, saving space and reducing processor costs.

The standard in CtP

New system for loading and positioning the panels

The new tracking knife system enables smooth and precise plate movement at all times. A new, independent pressure wheel structure enables automatic adjustment of the plate loading pressure to the plate used, ensuring smooth plate loading regardless of the plate format.

New dynamic drum balancing design

Patented triple dynamic drum balancing technology allows the drum to load any panel thickness and format and ensures smooth, vibration-free drum rotation, maximizing image quality.

Environmentally friendly and energy-saving vacuum system

A high-flow vacuum system ensures uniform plate extraction across the entire drum and saves more than 30 % of the energy previously used.

The laser scanning system is maintenance-free

The automatic lubrication of the guide rail makes "maintenance-free" a reality. The magnetic linear drive is extremely precise and offers high stability and accuracy. No lead screw, no grease, no banding, no abrasion, no friction and no wear.

Higher resolution

New, higher output resolutions are available. Resolutions of 4'800dpi/5'080dpi/9'600 dpi are now optionally available. These new additional resolutions meet the requirements of high-security printing and 3D printing.

Web remote control

Web remote control allows customers to view or operate their CRON CtP remotely. Remote data collection and analysis allows the service center to detect errors and make adjustments without having to be on site, saving time and money.
