EFFICIENT AND FAST LARGE-FORMAT CTP IMAGESETTERS

The PlateRite Ultima series can process large-format plates up to 2,900 mm x 1,350 mm. As small plates from 650 mm x 550 mm can also be used, these machines are true multi-format systems.

Thanks to GLV™ (Grating Light Valve) technology, a revolutionary multi-channel exposure head has been designed to deliver remarkably high speed and high quality exposure results. This state-of-the-art exposure head has up to 1,024 channels for very wide exposure strips, allowing the PlateRite Ultima series to deliver unbeatable throughput without sacrificing quality.

With the optional inline punching, the panels are punched immediately before they are fixed on the drum. Inline die-cutting offers greater setting accuracy than offline die-cutting, for example. As this reduces the potential for errors, press set-up times can also be shortened. Up to ten die-cutting blocks can be mounted in the platesetter and then selected during data output according to the plate size and print type required for the job.

Automation is a key element in handling large format plates to maximize the efficiency of the CTP production line. The PlateRite Ultima series devices can be integrated into a variety of processing lines thanks to a wide range of plate handling options.

The PlateRite Ultima platesetters achieve optimum productivity when using Fujifilm thermal plates. The high sensitivity of these materials allows the utilization of high production speeds.

The advanced PlateRite Ultima platesetters in the VLF class can not only load a large-format plate onto the drum, but can also process smaller plates together. Such plate pairs increase productivity as the system needs to be loaded and unloaded less frequently. For even higher productivity, some models have two imaging heads that allow two plates to be imaged at the same time.
