XPose! is the only platesetter of its kind in the world that can be equipped with different lasers at the same time. Depending on the application, two laser types can be combined, making it possible to expose different printing forms on one system.
All printing plates known today can be exposed in an XPose! system: 830 nm IR for thermal offset plates, 940 nm IR for all ablative (LAMS) printing plates or ablation films, 405 nm UV for conventional offset printing plates and diazo films as well as coating plates and rotary screens can be exposed with 405 nm UV without any problems. Laser diodes with 375 nm are used for the direct exposure of water-washable flexographic printing plates or conventional letterpress plates without LAMS layers.
