Flexo plates are usually distorted in one or two directions.
StarProof restores distorted dots to their original size and uses special controls to perform halftone dot size correction based on the original distortion. The "RIP Once Output Many" ROOM architecture built into the Norns Flexo workflow uses the same rasterized separations that are sent to the platesetter / imagesetter. This allows StarProof to achieve true-to-life proofs with a hard halftone dot, sharp images, accurate color reproduction and fine detail.
