RMGT 970

The demand for higher productivity and cost efficiency in offset printing presses is increasing worldwide. The trend towards increasing production capacity on the one hand and the ever lower capacity utilization of print shops on the other require an offset press to be able to print on a wider range of paper formats. However, for some print shops, the standard 70×100 format is underutilized and the A1 format is too small. To close the gap between these two formats, RMGT presents its innovation in A1+ format: the new RMGT 970.

Worldwide format coverage

With a maximum paper format of 650×965 mm, the RMGT 970 sheetfed offset press can process the paper formats 630×880 mm, 650×920 mm and 650×950 mm, which are widely used in Europe. In addition to the 8-up A4 format, the new RMGT 970 can also print a large number of multiple-ups on non-standard formats. In view of rising paper and print supply costs, the RMGT 970 is therefore perfectly positioned to process the most commonly used paper format in the world, A1-plus.

Most economical sheetfed offset press

Compared to printing presses in B1 format, the RMGT 970 has significantly lower plate costs (-20%). In addition, the printing plates no longer need to be folded thanks to the bend-free plate clamp, which prevents scratches and damage to the plates and therefore saves time and money. Energy consumption is also much lower (-34%). In addition, the compact and space-saving design enables efficient use of the pressroom (-30%) in the print shop. This makes the RMGT 970 the most economical machine in its class.

Versatile models

The RMGT 970 is available from 2 to 10 colors in perfecting printing with a printing speed of 15,000 sheets per hour. The machine can also be equipped with a coating unit for immediate finishing and shorter throughput times. Thanks to the fully automatic "Smart Assist printing functions", the entire printing process - from ink presetting and blanket certification to plate changing and density adjustment - is fully automated. This enables significantly higher machine utilization for the continuous printing of short runs that require frequent job changes.
